Non-operative management following a shoulder subluxation or dislocation remains a challenging and complex task. This course introduces a clinical instability framework that addresses these three clinical dilemmas. It is designed to accompany the clinical concepts journal article published in the Journal of Athletic Training in 2023 with co-author Prof Timothy Uhl, University of Kentucky (you can download the paper from the introduction lecture).

This course presents a clinical framework of progressive rehabilitation that addresses deficits in motor control, strength, and endurance in scapula and glenohumeral musculature. Clinicians can use this framework to guide patients from an initial instability event, through to return to play.
